Ingredients

Scale

Pomegranate Butter

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 3 tablespoons pomegranate seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon chopped almonds
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt

Cinnamon Butter

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt

Blackberry Butter

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 3 tablespoons blackberries
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon chopped pecans
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt

Chive Butter

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 23 tablespoons chopped chives
  • ¼ teaspoon each: oregano, rosemary, thyme, basil
  • ⅛ teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt

Garlic Butter

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 23 cloves roasted garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped basil
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • Optional: 1-2 teaspoons red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Prepare Butter Base: Begin with room temperature butter to ensure smooth mixing. Place the softened butter into a mixing bowl.
  2. Cream Butter: Using a stand mixer or hand beaters, beat the butter until it becomes creamy and smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add Ingredients: For basic butters such as Chive and Garlic, incorporate all ingredients except any fresh fruits at once and mix until evenly combined. For fruit-based butters like Pomegranate and Blackberry, mix the butter with the sweeteners and nuts first, then gradually fold in the fresh fruit to maintain texture.
  4. Transfer and Shape: Once fully combined, transfer the butter mixture to your serving vessel such as a ramekin, small bowl, or directly spread onto a serving board.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the butter with complementary toppings like extra nuts, herbs, or fruit seeds as desired. Serve alongside fresh bread, crackers, or use as a flavorful spread for meals.

Notes

  • Use room temperature butter for best mixing results to prevent lumps.
  • Fresh fruits should be gently folded in to maintain their shape and avoid bruising.
  • Store any unused butter spread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Let chilled butter soften slightly before serving for easier spreading.
  • Customize nut and spice varieties based on personal preference or seasonal availability.
  • Optional red pepper flakes in the Garlic Butter add a spicy kick—adjust amount based on taste.
