Main Ingredients
- 1 head garlic, peeled and roasted
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Roast the garlic: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the top off the garlic head, drizzle it with olive oil, wrap it in foil, and roast in the oven for 30-35 minutes until soft and caramelized.
- Heat the cream and garlic: In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the heavy cream and roasted garlic cloves (squeezed out from skins). Stir gently for 3-5 minutes until heated through.
- Incorporate cheese and seasoning: Add the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning to the saucepan. Stir continuously until the cheese completely melts and the sauce becomes smooth.
- Season and cool: Adjust seasoning by adding salt and pepper to taste. Remove the sauce from heat and let it cool slightly before spreading on your pizza dough.
Notes
- Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- For longer storage, freeze the sauce for up to three months.
- When reheating frozen sauce, thaw overnight in the fridge and warm gently to preserve texture and flavor.
