Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 3 very ripe bananas
  • ½ cup smooth peanut butter or almond butter
  • ½ cup vanilla or chocolate protein powder (about 2 scoops)
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder

For Topping

  • Sprinkle of chocolate chips (mini, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) to get ready for baking the brownie bites.
  2. Mash Bananas: In a medium-sized bowl, mash the very ripe bananas until mostly smooth. It’s fine if a few lumps remain as they add texture.
  3. Add Nut Butter: Stir the smooth peanut butter or almond butter into the mashed bananas until the mixture is well combined.
  4. Mix Dry Ingredients: Add the protein powder and cocoa powder into the banana and nut butter mixture. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated into a smooth batter.
  5. Prepare Baking Cups: Arrange 8 silicone baking cups in a muffin tin to hold the brownie batter and prevent sticking.
  6. Fill Cups: Spoon the brownie batter evenly into each silicone cup using a spoon and spatula, smoothing the tops slightly. Sprinkle a few mini chocolate chips on each cup if desired for added chocolatey texture.
  7. Bake: Bake the brownie bites in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes. They will be soft upon removal but will firm up as they cool.
  8. Cool and Serve: Allow the brownie bites to cool fully to room temperature so they set properly. Serve them cold, at room temperature, or slightly warmed based on your preference.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for natural sweetness and best texture.
  • Silicone baking cups help prevent sticking and make for easy removal.
  • Chocolate chips on top are optional but add extra flavor and texture.
  • Store leftover bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • These bites are great as a quick snack or post-workout energy boost.
