Crispy and golden toasted ravioli made effortlessly in the air fryer or oven, coated with seasoned breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese, served with marinara sauce for a delicious appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Ravioli

  • 1216 pieces of frozen ravioli (choose your favorite filling)

Breading

  • 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 2 eggs, beaten (or substitute with non-dairy milk)

Cooking

  • Cooking spray or a drizzle of olive oil

Serving

  • Marinara sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the cooking appliance: If using an air fryer, preheat to 375°F (190°C). For oven cooking, preheat to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare breading station: In one bowl, pour the beaten eggs or milk substitute. In a separate bowl, mix the Italian seasoned breadcrumbs with grated Parmesan cheese.
  3. Bread the ravioli: Dip each frozen ravioli into the egg mixture ensuring it’s fully coated, then press into the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture to coat evenly.
  4. Arrange for cooking: For air frying, lightly spray the basket with cooking spray and place ravioli in a single layer, spraying the tops lightly as well. For oven cooking, place ravioli on a parchment-lined baking sheet, drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  5. Cook the ravioli: Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, shaking or turning halfway if possible. For oven, bake for 15-20 minutes flipping halfway through for even crispiness.
  6. Serve: Remove the crispy toasted ravioli and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy your crispy and flavorful appetizer!

Notes

  • Avoid overcrowding ravioli during cooking to ensure crispiness.
  • Store leftover toasted ravioli in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Enhance flavor by adding Italian seasoning or garlic powder to the breadcrumb mixture.
  • For a dairy-free option, omit Parmesan and use non-dairy milk for dipping.
  • This recipe works great with any ravioli filling of your choice.
